The Modern Trade Union Movement

The Modern Trade Union Movement
Quorn Grange Hotel, Sunday 4th March 2018, 10.30am to 4pm. Unions talk a lot about the Labour Movement. But where did we come from? What have we achieved? What have we contributed to society, and what more can we do to make things better? It’s an old truth that you don’t know where you are going unless you know where you have been. Reflecting upon the developments in the Trade Union and Labour Movements from the 1960s onwards, Professor Keith Gildart of Wolverhampton University (and formerly the NUM) will reflect upon our past and guide a discussion about the way forward for a better, and more just, future for us all.
