Payroll Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £40 – £42,000 (subject to experience and qualifications).

The General Federation of Trade Unions has been supporting the Trade Union movement for 120 years and we are a small, high performing team that support the needs of a network of affiliated Trade Unions and we are offering the right person an attractive package including training and pension scheme.
The GFTU provides financial services to different parts of the organisation and several affiliated unions which includes payroll, invoicing, payments and pension fund administration, we also run a busy hotel and we are currently recruiting a well organised individual to manage the work of our finance team.
You will be qualified and understand statutory payments and deductions, have experience of managing a small team and company finances. In addition to understanding financial and administrative functions (business planning and reporting on finance, recording transactions, quality monitoring, performance reports etc.) you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly salary and pension payrolls; processing starters/leavers, calculating payroll data and dealing with queries. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar environment. They must also be competent in the use of IT systems, possess good team, communication and administration skills and have the ability to work to conflicting deadlines. A recognised finance qualification is essential.
